Listen EVERYWHERE Mitigates Latency

Question for you guys... If you guys are using a two-channel server, why does only 1 channel shows on the app? Could you please explain how to create the second channel?

The 2-channel Listen EVERYWHERE server has two audio input modes: 1-channel stereo or 2-channel monoaural. The audio input mode can be switched through a free Listen EVERYWHERE Cloud Services account. You may register for an account here: Alternatively, you can reach out to our Technical Services team at to make the change. Please provide the Server ID (located on the bottom of the Listen EVERYWHERE server and begins with “AEL6”) and ensure that the Listen EVERYWHERE server is connected to the internet.

has listen made recent improvements in the latency, or this video demonstrates the minimal latency that has always been present in the Listen Everywhere app.

Listen has continually made improvements to the performance of Listen Everywhere, including ensuring that customers receive the lowest latency audio no matter what device they are using.  There have been numerous improvements to audio quality and latency over the past few years, and across many devices. While the video seems to demonstrate low latency, that is not at all what I observe in my setting, which has a latency of about 1.4 seconds. Is there a video or doc on steps to reduce latency? I'd love to enable our Listen Everywhere server but the latency is currently unacceptable so I need configuration tips to reduce it before rolling it out. Thanks.

Rod - please check out our Network Configuration Guide found on our website.  With 1 second of latency, there is definitely something going on that needs to be addressed.  Feel free to reach out to our Support team at 1-800-330-0891 (US and Canada) who can help you get that resolved.

Id like to know if when streaming stereo, both channels are synced (guaranteed same latency in both channels) and also if there is a way even allowing for some latency (around 10 ms max) more channels could be all synched. 4 channels maybe more. last but not least, I would like to know the audio quality compression codec used for streaming in the server, the bit rate and if the bit rate (quality) is ajustable by the user. thank you very much. interested in using this as distribution of audio for immersive audio systems
